A Testament to Excellence

Excellence: noun




1 - The state, quality, or condition of excelling; superiority. 2- Something in which one excels. 3- Excellency.


To me Excellence isn't just about hitting a game winning shot. Can a person who is not excellent at basketball hit a game winner; I give you examples such as Rick Fox, Christian Laettner and feel free to ad your own examples. This is not to say that the men I just mentioned are not top tier athletes and a part of the 2% of people walking the face of the earth who are just above and beyond the rest. Yes; well almost! I did say 2% that would suggest their is another tier even smaller in size.... Thats right. Black Jesus, Black Mamba, Shaq Daddy, The Answer, The Doctor, Magic, The Stilt, LBJ (Lyndon and Lebron) or King James. Notice the difference? No?


All of the nicknames I just mentioned in this paragraph be it obvious or not were all for one man. Just one single man. Further if you had 100 MJ's in a room..... Michael Jackson (Free Willy.... I'm Kidding You already know), Magic Johnson (Lakers), Michael Johnson (before Usain Bolt), Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones), Mila Jovovich (Resident Evil), Mannie Jackson (H. Globetrotters). Every single person just mentioned is excellent at what they do. Thats a fact but the chances are if someone yells MJ their is one of two people getting looked at. Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan. Both are performers, both are entertainers, but both to a very different capacity. Scandals aside. This isn't about that...
Excellence has many talents so we are going to highlight one person from he past year and more along the wy. But for the March 2021-March 2022 Year We here at Southern Values Card Grading would like to recognize
